Biography:
The Summarized History of Love Button
Love Button first joined together in Oklahoma City in 1992, where they played a "Violent Femmes" style of folk punk on the streets of Deep Ellum in Dallas and Campus Corner in Norman, OK. For 6 years the band developed and changed in styles, growing a loyal following in the clubs of Norman and OKC, as well as playing in Austin, Dallas, Fayetteville(AK), Little Rock(AK), Springfield(MO), Wichita(KS), and Santa Fe(NM). They broke up in 1998, but returned for a reunion show in 2002. Even though Dan lives in California, and the rest of the band remains based in the OKC area, they manage to do a show or so each year. They are currently working on a new album, containing many of the songs the band never had a chance to record during their final years together in the '90s.
